Daas Torah and TIDE

I’d like to suggest that Daas Torah is actually originally a TIDE concept, but in its origin, it is the idea that by fully immersing oneself in our Torah inheritance, it can become so ingrained as to provide a continual guide to one’s life. Where the idea lost its way is when we forgot that this is the goal for each and every Jew (man and woman) and not something restricted to elite “gedolim”. It is truely a communal inheritance that provides the framework to shape every Jew’s life. What do people think?

I mean, one could also argue that the term Charedim, as in its original usage in Navi, should be applied to this or that different group. I don’t particularly see the point in staking a claim for a term which in its current use is so particular, and quite at variance, with what you claim could be its Hirschian meaning. Why not go with the motto RSRH chose himself, בכל דרכיך דעהו?
